Step 1 : Identify deteriorated paint surfaces.
: Projects that contain a full deteriorated paint surface will need to be fully stripped off paint, and be plastered again. In the first step we carefully identify key areas of deteriorated paint surfaces or exposed flaky paint surfaces on the weatherboard which may cause rotting of the wood.
Step 2: Strip All Old Paint
In the second step we carefully strip off all exposed flaky paint that may damage weatherboards and cause rotting of the wood. We strip the paint away and apply fresh plastering to ensure the home is weatherproof. This means the paint will not need another paint job for another decade or two.
Step 3: Sanding And Prepping The Area For Undercoat
: In the third step, we sand the surface until it is smooth. We then prep the area of the deteriorated paint surface which would already be stripped away. We apply plastering products to the surface to even out uneven surfaces and create a smooth paint job.
Step 4: Prepping The Area & Undercoating
: In the fourth step, We use Weatherproof Undercoat Primer Paint specifically from Resene to ensure the paint creates a layer of protection for the wood enabling a safe and rot free environment for the home. This allows the home to be painted once every few decades because the paint is weatherproof and rot free proof.
Final Step: Two Top Coats & Final Finishes
: Our final step, We apply two coats of paint over the undercoat primer paint which is the final paint and the main colour which the client would have selected. The two coats of paint enables the project to be fully covered without leaving a unpainted surface. We make sure to closely analyse the paint job and fix key areas in which needs fixing.
